Built by players, for players
Rust4Noobs started because we remembered what it felt like to be new. We built the community we wished we had when we first spawned on the beach.
Our Story
Rust is one of the best survival games ever made. It's also one of the most punishing for newcomers. Most servers are full of experienced players who raid you within hours of spawning. That's the game, but it doesn't have to be your first experience.
We're a group of veteran players who fell in love with Rust years ago. When we looked for servers to recommend to friends who were just starting out, we couldn't find any that felt right. Most were either dead, toxic, or stacked with pay-to-win kits. So we built our own.
R4N started small: one server, a handful of regulars, and a Discord that was mostly us talking to ourselves. But word got around. Players who were sick of getting raided by clans ten minutes after spawning found us. Veterans who wanted to help newer players stuck around. The community grew because the people in it made it worth joining.
Today we run multiple servers across different game modes, with a dedicated staff team keeping things fair. The mission hasn't changed: give people a place where they can actually learn and enjoy Rust without getting crushed before they figure out how to place a wall.
But we also noticed something: players were getting good. Really good. The ones who started as complete beginners were outgrowing our servers and looking for a bigger challenge. That's why we brought Rustadia into the family. Rustadia is vanilla Rust for players who don't need training wheels anymore. Same team, same values, but no handholding. If 4noobs is where you learn to play, Rustadia is where you prove it.
What we stand for
These aren't marketing slogans. They're the rules we hold ourselves to every day.
Everyone starts somewhere
We protect new players and create an environment where asking for help is encouraged, not punished.
No gameplay advantages
VIP perks are cosmetic only: colored names, queue skip, and modded plugins. Nobody buys power here.
Community first
We make decisions based on what's best for the community, not what's easiest for us.
Transparency
Our rules are clear, our admin actions are logged, and appeals are always welcome.
How we got here
From a single server to a thriving community.
The idea takes shape
Featherfall couldn't take it anymore, after dying on every other server, he decided to build his own.

First server goes live
R4N launches its first community server. With a bit of luck, it actually survived the first few days and illuminatixs joined. Later on joining the staff team.

The community grows
The server was actually able to survive a few wipes, people stuck around and the community grew. We were able to hit 500 members on our discord!

The big boom: Primitive game mode
The primitive game mode was released and the server was flooded with new players. The community grew to over 2000 members and we had to run overtime to keep up. Multiple servers were launched in quick succession to keep up with the demand.

The discord hit 3000 members and Demonic launched our very first DayZ server. An amazing achievement for the team and the community.

How we keep the lights on
Running game servers isn't free. Hardware, DDoS protection, backups, and the tools that keep everything running smoothly all cost money. We don't have investors or corporate sponsors. R4N is funded entirely by our community and Featherfall's personal savings.
Our community store offers cosmetic ranks with perks like colored names, queue skip, and some modded server plugins. Nothing you can buy gives you a gameplay advantage. No kits, no loot boosts, no paid power. The playing field stays level.
Every purchase goes directly to server costs. If you enjoy playing here, grabbing a rank is the best way to help us stick around.
