Rust Rules
Rust-specific rules for teaming, noob servers, and PvE servers.
Teaming Rules
Team limits are strictly enforced to maintain fair play.
Cross Teaming
Not AllowedPlayers from more than one separate team joining together for any activity. Stay within your respective teams and avoid any collaborative behaviour.
Non-Aggression Pacts
AllowedAgreements between two groups to not attack, raid, or kill each other. These should solely involve a lack of aggression and must not be confused with defence pacts.
Defence Pacts
Not AllowedAgreements between two or more groups to defend each other's bases or members if attacked. You must stay within your respective teams regardless of the limit when collaborating.
Trading / Gifting Gear
AllowedTrading or gifting gear between players is encouraged. We recommend using shopfronts or safe zones to trade items. Make sure to follow teaming rules in these situations.
Raid Countering
AllowedIf you successfully gain control of a base during a counter, you decide what to do with it. If returning it to the owner, remove any code locks you are authorised on before leaving. Do not collaborate with the base owner until you have completely secured the base.
Base Touring
AllowedShowing off your base to allies or neighbours is allowed, as long as you do not give them code or key access to doors, hatches, or tool cupboards. Granting access will be considered a team limit infraction.
Changing / Removing Team Members
When removing players from your team, update code locks and revoke any keys the former member had, including bags and beds. If your base is too large to de-authorise, open a ticket and notify an admin. This will be policed frequently.
Noob Server Rules
Additional rules to keep things welcoming for new players.
Spawn Camping
Camping around communal spawns such as outposts, bandit camps, or beach spawn areas is not allowed.
Extended Door Camping
Door camping for longer than 15 minutes is not allowed. We ask that players give others the chance to play the game.
Base Griefing
TC griefing, building griefing, foundation wiping, or destroying items without raid intent is not allowed. Exceptions: during raids/loot transfer, or if you intend to make the raided base your main base. Griefing with future raid intent (e.g. forcing decay on an external) is allowed if the raid follows through in reasonable time. Caves are exempt if your intention is to use the cave as a main base.
Structure Controlling
Walling off quarries, pointing turrets at entry/exit points, or erecting SAM sites around structures is not allowed.
Extreme Trash Talk
It does not have to be a slur for us to step in. Treat everyone with a degree of class.
Loot Despawns
Base owners may despawn their own loot, but raiders should not deliberately despawn loot they do not take from a base.
Admin Discretion
Admins regularly evaluate players to ensure they are not dominating or ruining the experience. We may issue bans for players found to be "noob stomping" and may request that you speak with us in a ticket.
PvE Server Rules
Additional rules for our PvE servers.
Respect Monument Callouts
If a player calls out a monument by saying @monument in chat, they have claimed it to run. Respect the callout.
Do Not Steal
Stealing loot is strictly prohibited. Theft of any loot in any form will result in a ban. This includes loot from decaying bases.
Do Not Trespass
If a player does not want you on or in their base, leave. Respect other players' space.
Monument Hogging
Monuments like Giant Excavator or Quarries may take time, but other monuments should be run as quickly as possible so they can respawn. Players who joined after your callout may not know it's claimed. Be kind and inform them before reporting to an admin. Running multiple monuments at the same time with separate team members is discouraged.
